A story about Fairy Bread

They say a picture says a thousand words. I have a story to tell about a top NZ chef making fairy bread. He has the picture but he's not sharing.

So last week we hosted 4yo Princess Myra's bithday Tea Party right here in the 'Diamond Castle'. We also hosted High Tea on Sunday AND to top things off our Chef de Partie who has been doing pastry has been sick this week! So in addition to Fairy bread Richard's been spending a huge amount of time in the pastry section. Not his forte apparently (although our guests have nothing but praise).

Now for another funny twist. He receives a text from Brian Cambell (the best pastry chef in NZ in my humble opionion) saying the he just spent the night on sauce (cooking meat) with the Old Boy. Wish we had a photo of that!

The recipe for Fairy Bread:
Take a slice of white sandwich bread. Butter. Sprinkle with 100's & 1000's. Trim off the crusts. Cut into triangles. Have fun with that one My Lanaway.
